Walk-In Shower Remodel

Walk-In Shower Remodel — finished

The project

The story

Out with the tub, in with a herringbone-tile walk-in shower, a hexagon-mosaic floor and a rain-glass screen.

Herringbone reads as a pattern from across the room and as texture up close, which is why it works on a wall you stand a foot away from every morning. The hex mosaic underfoot is doing a quieter job — more tiles means more grout lines, and grout is what stops a wet floor being slick. Stopping the screen at a half-wall rather than running a full enclosure keeps the window lighting the shower instead of a door frame.
