Jay has been in the trade since 2014, and built this company through persistence, long hours and a commitment to doing the work right. When he partnered with Greg, that same approach became the foundation for how TEXAN Home Improvements takes care of every project.

The goal is simple: listen to what the homeowner actually wants, communicate clearly throughout the project and leave behind work they are proud to have in their home. Every project is treated with the same attention we would expect in our own homes.

The standard we hold

Your home, respected

We work in your house like it's ours: clean site, clear communication, no surprises. Work stays contained to the room we're in, floors and pathways get protected, and the site is picked up at the end of every day — not at the end of the project. You should be able to live around a remodel without living inside one.

Proof over promises

Finished work is the argument. Every remodel we complete is one you can look at and judge for yourself, which is why the portfolio on this site is our own photography of our own jobs — not stock imagery, and not a supplier's catalogue. If a project isn't good enough to show, it isn't good enough to claim.

Owners on the job

You hired Jay and Greg, so you get Jay and Greg. Not a rotating crew. The same two people who walk your space at the start are the ones working in it, which means nothing gets lost between the person who sold the job and the person doing it.

Before you hire anyone

Four questions worth asking

Ask us these. Ask the next company too — the answers will tell you more than any brochure.

Can I see finished work in person?: Photographs are a starting point, not proof. Any remodeler who has done the work should be able to point you at completed projects and talk you through what was behind the walls, not just what the camera saw.
Who is actually in my house each day?: Ask whether the person quoting the job is the person doing it. Plenty of outfits sell with one team and build with another, and that handoff is where detail goes missing.
How does the price change if something changes?: Ask when the number becomes final and what would move it. A quote that arrives before materials are chosen is an estimate wearing a price tag — the figure only means something once every selection is made.
What happens if something isn't right at the end?: Ask how a project gets closed out. There should be a point where you walk the finished space together and say what you think, before anyone calls it done.
