Guest Shower Renovation

A worn tub-shower combo under a barrel ceiling replaced with a full-height tiled walk-in shower and penny-tile floor.

Running tile the full height rather than stopping at a trim band pulls the eye up to the barrel ceiling, so the room keeps the height it already had. Penny tile on the floor is the most grout-dense option available — every one of those joints is grip underfoot. Replacing a tub-shower combo also removes the tub wall, which is usually the thing making a guest bath feel like a corridor.
